Jonathan Kim
Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary
Jonathan is responsible for overseeing all legal and compliance issues related to the company’s operations and capital markets transactions. Prior to joining Montpelier Re in 2004, Jonathan was employed with AXA Advisors, LLC, part of the AXA Group, in New York. He began his legal career in Washington, DC as a law clerk with the Department of Justice in their Criminal Tax Division. Subsequently, he worked for Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts (presently known as Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP) in New York. He has also served as in-house counsel to a number of start up ventures and worked in London as an account director for Modem Media, Inc. (now part of the Publicis Groups S.A.) He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and received his MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Yale School of Management and his JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
